A home lift was once seen as a luxury; today it is a practical solution for multi-storey homes — especially for older residents, family members with limited mobility, or simply the convenience of moving groceries and luggage between floors. The challenge differs from commercial lifts: limited space, a house not designed for a large shaft, and the demand for a quiet unit.
We supply home lifts using hydraulic, screw-drive and compact traction technology that need only a shallow 5–30 cm pit and no separate machine room. They suit both new builds and retrofits into finished homes.
Scope of work
- Unit supply — home lifts for 2–5 persons (250–400 kg), 0.15–0.4 m/s, hydraulic or screw-drive.
- Shaft & structure — self-supporting glass-shaft option that stands alone without building a concrete wall.
- Shallow pit — some models need only a 5–8 cm pit, ideal for retrofits into finished homes.
- Design — panoramic glass cabin, timber/stainless finishes, automatic or manual swing doors.
- Safety — battery backup auto-descent on power failure, emergency button and door sensors.

Installation timeline
A home lift with a self-supporting glass shaft is usually installed within 1–2 weeks once the unit arrives — far faster than a commercial lift because civil work is minimal. For a concrete shaft built with the house, the schedule follows construction progress.
Safety standards
Although residential in scale, our home lifts include full safety features: battery backup, door interlocks, overload protection and an emergency button. Where a home lift sees limited public use, we still prepare the compliance documentation.
Maintenance
Home lifts need lighter maintenance than commercial units, but periodic checks of hydraulic oil, battery and sensors remain important. We offer a compact annual maintenance contract for residences.
